Maybe too girly a topic, but here goes:
Ever inquisitive me would like to know what historical period do you prefer for clothing/fashion ---either for you or for the opposite sex (ie the period clothes what you find most attractive ) .
My top 10 are:
1.
for me, it is the 1940s to 1950s ,( including pin up) for stuff i like to wear. Even the high heels are cool in that era!
Had a 1950s theme at this one Gig. Sooo cool!
For the opposite sex i prefer guys in variants of ww1 era officer uniforms...especially the Burberry trench coats ! Or maybe the duster look as in Once upon a Time in the West. Guys in boots are seexxyy
2, to add later (maybe after a few others post their own preferences )

Can’t beat dat Hugo Boss black trench fashion for sure.
I tried to think for the fashion I’d prefer the most but can’t decide. One of the best things about four seasons is the variety of clothing styles you can sport. As person who’s nearing middle age I love my very costly hand knitted sweater from Iceland (not fakey Chinese ones made of Icelandish wool). Very cozy. Very practical.
I like anoraks and my ponchos. Even got wool poncho from my trip to Colombia. I love things I can wrap to and sleep under.

Looking back at past eras like the middle ages, men's clothing used to look so much cooler than what's available today. Now, from the 1800s to present, all we have is shirts, suits and pants.

Medieval clothes for chicks looked more bland and concealing, like a reversal of today's roles.Lizzieborden wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 12:06 amBut the cool clothes part mostly applies to upper crust doods. How bout the chicks?past eras like the middle ages, men's clothing used to look so much cooler

Well yes it is!Minoan clothing will probably be in your list
I love all things Minoan. We had a gig once on a Villa on Crete and, yes, us girls wore Cretan priestess clothes shwing off our tits. The 2004 olympics in Athens (pictured below) should give you an idea of the sort of clothes we wore
